DESIGN
The design leans into a grounded, coastal luxury, featuring signature Minted elements such as custom-designed bevelled mirrors and monumental cabinetry that allow clients to fully immerse themselves in the experience of the pieces. Architectural arches and wall mouldings pay homage to the 1910 heritage, while contemporary textures like fluted marble and intricate tiling provide a tactile, high-end finish.
The heart of the showroom is a monumental 4m mural designed by Minted, which serves as a tribute to the Abrolhos Islands. This focal point, framed by bespoke mirroring, creates a soaring sense of light and space, ensuring the gallery feels both grand in scale and intimate in atmosphere.

At Minted Elevated Living (Minted EL), our core mission transcends aesthetics: we aim to profoundly improve the lives of regional people by designing spaces that capture unique local identity, engaging regional brand stories, and elevate community and visitor experiences.
Our Minted EL team could not be prouder to collaborate with Latitude owner Pia, her team alongside Arron - the master craftsman of Coral Coast homes, on this very special project.
BRIEF
Minted Elevated Living were commissioned to transform a historical 1910 premises into a world-class jewellery showroom, atelier, and exhibition gallery. The challenge was to marry "old-world charm" with a unique, globally competitive retail experience that felt homely, welcoming, and deeply rooted in the brand’s Abrolhos Island heritage.
INTENTION
The intention was to act as "Vision Stewards," elevating a complex renovation into a destination that captures the spirit of deep ocean guardianship. We sought to honor the building’s century-old bones while introducing bespoke, monumental elements that reflect the rare beauty and fine craftsmanship of the Midwest region.
RESULT
The outcome is a sophisticated sanctuary that transcends standard retail design. By seamlessly managing intricate details—from soaring 4m custom murals to delicate marble fluted skirting—we delivered a "forever home" for Latitude that has become an immediate regional landmark. The space doesn't just display jewellery; it tells a story of local heritage and global significance.

“When we first purchased our historical premises built in 1910, our dream was to bring back the old-world charm while creating a jewellery showroom that felt truly unique. We wanted some familiarity from our existing Latitude Jewellers store, but also something completely new - a space that felt different from any other jewellery store in the world.Minted Elevated Living not only fulfilled this brief, they far exceeded our expectations. We now consider this showroom one of the most beautiful stores we have ever seen, and it's not just us - almost everyone who walks in comments on how special it feels.
My brief to Tess was that I wanted the space to feel homely, welcoming, and respectful of the history of the building. Tess and her team acted as true "vision stewards," guiding the project so the final result would be world-class, not just standard. They listened carefully to our ideas and then elevated them beyond what we could have imagined.
This was a complex renovation with many bespoke elements yet Minted managed these details seamlessly without losing momentum. This included the design and install oversight of a monumental 4m custom-designed mural by Minted, framed by a custom bevelled mirror, capturing our Abrolhos story. The install of arches and wall mouldings paired with beautiful marble fluted skirting, intricate tiled surfaces and a statement entry floor.
The design and install of incredibly large jewellery display cabinets showcasing our stunning pieces and a soaring 4m custom-designed bevelled mirror, creating a beautiful atmosphere while helping our clients experience wearing our jewellery. They worked closely with the builders and trades, stayed flexible when challenges arose, and problem-solved continuously to ensure we met our opening deadline.
What impressed us most was how easy they made the entire process. Tess liaised with the professional builders on our behalf, communicated clearly at every stage, and made those small but crucial adjustments that turn something good into something exceptional and precise. Their transparency, honesty, and genuine care for the outcome gave us complete confidence throughout the project.
Thanks to Minted Elevated Living, we truly feel we have found our forever home for Latitude Jewellers. The space honours the past while creating an unforgettable experience for our customers, and we could not be happier. We are incredibly grateful to Tess and her team for bringing this vision to life and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a truly outstanding result.
